North Cobb Christian School Academy of the Arts
The Arts at North Cobb Christian School are a fundamental part of each student's lifelong education. We believe that God has gifted each of his children with the ability to offer back praise to their Father through the Arts and it is our desire to help each child discover, develop, and display that gifting. Worship, in its most honest form, is a daily choice...a willful decision to exhaust our entire being in an effort to hone and develop that with which we have been entrusted by God. Whether on canvas, behind the lens, on the stage, in the risers, behind an instrument, or simply doodling on a lazy Saturday afternoon, we choose to worship Him by using the gifts He gave us. The Arts Program at NCCS exists to train jesters, bards, painters, and troubadours who would desire, above all else, to entertain their King!
Courses offered in THEATRE, VISUAL, VOCAL, and INSTRUMENTAL arts for homeschool students in grades 9-12.
For further information contact Mrs. Beth Wright (firstname.lastname@example.org) for information on admissions or Mr. Matthew Hendrix (email@example.com) for further information regarding the Arts at NCCS.
THE STILL POINTE STUDIOS is a ballet school committed to training dancers to reach their greatest potential so that wherever their dance experience may lead them, each student can be used by God, for His glory.
Time spent in our studio is purposeful. Even if a student studies with us for just a few years, the disciplines, perspectives, and opportunities they will encounter will remain with them a lifetime. However, if a student aspires to dance professionally, go on to major in dance at the college level, to teach, choreograph, or dance in ministry, we believe their training should fully prepare them to enter any of these endeavors.
We are guided by a commitment to excellence and a respect for the image of God in every student. Technical development occurs within a context that acknowledges the importance of discipline, determination, courage, patience, kindness, selflessness and regard for others. Accomplishment and joy result.

REPERI VOCEM TUAM
find your voice!
Steve Hester, 770.490.8531, email@example.com
Everybody has a voice. Have you found yours? Do you have a child who likes to sing? Have they found their own special God-given voice? Reperi Vocem Tuam is Latin for Find Your Voice. And at RVT STUDIO thats exactly what can happen, and it can be one of the most exciting journeys of ones life!
Think of all the musical instruments you can. Brass, strings, percussion, woodwinds, even the magnificent pipe organ - - all man-made. Have you stopped to think that there is only one musical instrument created by the Creator Himself? The human voice! Thats right; your voice, or your childs voice. Unique. Individual. One-of-a-kind. Designed and crafted by God, just as you are.
The human voice is also unique in that learning to use it to its full potential is unlike learning any other musical instrument. All other instruments can be held, touched, manipulated, and seen. Not so the voice. Your voice is inside you. Its part of you. It cant be taken out and tuned or repaired. Its you. It identifies and defines you. The voice is very personal and the instructor must tailor the instruction for each individual!
The goal of RVT STUDIO is simple. To help each student to find his or her unique, God-made voice. That one-of-a-kind, individual voice that God gave every individual. RVT STUDIO does not want to help anyone sound like anyone else. RVT STUDIO does not want to promote or champion one style of music over another. RVT STUDIOs only desire is to help each student sound the best he or she can as we discover the voice given by God.
I am STEVE HESTER, the instructor at RVT STUDIO, and singing is my passion. I am equally passionate about helping others on the journey of discovering their own unique voice.
Heres a bit about me:
25 year resident of Fayette County
Graduate of Shorter College, Bachelor of Music, Voice Performance
Graduate of Mercer University, Masters of Music, Voice and Conducting
Additional study at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ
Master Classes with Dr. Oren Brown and Walter Tausig of the NYC Metropolitan Opera
Study with Margaret Harshaw of the NYC Metropolitan Opera
Study of Vocal Science with Dr. Thomas Cleveland of the Voice Center at Vanderbilt University
I am married and have three children and two dogs.
I would deem it an honor and privilege to take you, or your child/children, on the journey of a lifetime; the journey of finding your unique, singularly special voice. Contact RVT STUDIO to set up the lessons to make the journey. The phone number and e-mail address are at the top of this page.

Does your child have a special interest in art? Do you home school and want a quality art curriculum in your child’s education? Whether you are looking to hone your little artists skills, and let their talent shine, or simply want them exposed to the arts just for fun, I can provide the art instruction that you are looking for! I LOVE what I do, and I am excited to share all art has to offer! Art can open your eyes and let you see the world in a new way! I always combine art history into my lessons to let students know WHY they are creating artwork and learning about art. This isn’t simply “arts and crafts” time. It’s a class to better their problem solving skills, self-esteem, understanding of the world around them, express and embrace their individuality, and learn in new ways that only an art class can provide!
· I offer private art instruction for students of all ages in my home located in Walton County (right off Hwy 81 between Loganville and Bethlehem)
· I have a current teaching certificate for the state of Georgia
· I graduated in 2008 from UGA with a BFA in Art Education and have an Associates Degree in Fine Arts.
· I am a stay at home mother of two, and next school year I will work part time at Gwinnett Christian Academy as their art teacher and Home Econimics teacher
· I am very experienced in all types of art media.
What I offer:
· Group art lessons (Up to 10 students) $15/hour
· One on One art lessons $18/hour
· ALL materials are included!
· I prefer 2 hour sessions due to brief introduction of project, looking at examples, showing techniques, and allowing time for set up and clean-up. However, if one hour sessions are convenient for you, I can make it work! I don’t mind doing the clean up if the students are using the time to work! J
6 week programs consist of one day a week for 2 hours. $180
Classes can concentrate on 6 weeks of:
· Oil painting
· Acrylic painting
· Oil pastel drawing
· Charcoal drawing
· Fabric design (quilting, sewing machine, fabric projects)*this requires a trip to a fabric store so they can choose their own fabrics. Can be done together or on their own time)
Or, if you don’t have a specific preference of a medium I can offer:
· mixed media for upper grades (various projects using various materials)
· Elementary age mixed media art (such as art you would do in an elementary school)
· Portfolio creating for a student interested in applying to an art school/college
If a student has a special interest in more than one medium, we can work that out too!
I am available every weekday. Just call me to set up a day and time, and whether you want to set up individual days, or pre-pay for a 6 week session! I can set up an entire 9 week curriculum for home school groups consisting of various art projects, an even a trip to an art museum where we can discuss and view artwork.
I am VERY flexible to your needs!
Upon request, I can provide pictures of previous student work
Call me for further details!
