Homeschool Capitol Day Details!
We hope you are all getting excited about Homeschool Day at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta Next Tuesday, March 4th! If you haven’t yet planned to attend, it’s not too late! Come and join us for a fun-filled and educational day!
If you are planning to attend Capitol Day, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address and phone number for day of event and names/number of people in your family/group. We will email you back with an assigned tour time as well as an assigned class time for the “How a Bill Becomes a Law” class, hosted by the TeenPact Ambassadors! We will have multiple tours and classes, so if you are coming as a group, please send ONE email for the group so that we can make every attempt to keep your group together.
Check-in time will be at 9am, Tuesday, March 4th at the GHEA table. Look for us around the capitol rotunda area on the main floor.
We have a scheduled photo op with Governor Nathan Deal on the (interior, north wing) steps of the capitol at 10am sharp!
Don’t forget to dress your best and bring a homemade goodie for your state legislators and their staff! If you are unsure who your legislator is, you can find them easily by visiting: http://votesmart.org/

***There will be a charge for parking. Parking fees will vary between $5 and $15 for the day.
Please be prepared to pay cash for parking as very few lots in the downtown area will accept
debit/credit cards. Visitors with disabilities are may stop briefly at the loading zone on Mitchell Street for drop off.
Disabled guests can use ramps provided to enter the Capitol on the ground floor.
