Updated ClassTrips.com description:
"ClassTrips.com is a comprehensive online resource homeschool parents can use to explore day and overnight field trips, educational and recreational programs, and other opportunities to enrich the educational and experiential growth of their children. Featured write-ups including the basics - contact and trip details, links to email and website - as well as helpful information such as state and national learning standards, age appropriateness, field trip lesson plans to maximize the experience and pre-trip planning tools.
With our easy-to-use website, homeschool parents can explore local programs by selecting metro Atlanta or Georgia from the pull-down menu on the main page. Then explore a variety of day and overnight trips organized by curricular or recreational category. Another option is keyword search - enter a curricular topic or or recreational area in the search box on the main ClassTrips.com home page and explore a variety of appropriate programs and trips. Homeschool parents can further narrow their search by the distance they want to travel- enter your zip code, the miles you want to travel and the type of trip and receive a list of venues within that radius. If your homeschool group is planning to visit a museum and the tour is only 1 hour, you can learn about other places of interest within 15 miles, for example, and plan a combined field trip visit. Have a great school year!"
