North Atlanta School of the Arts has opportunities for 9^th-12^th grade homeschool students in the following areas:

·        Performance Theatre/Musical Theatre

·        Vocal Performance

·        Dance

·        Visual Art

·        Technical Arts

·        Instrumental Music/Band

Cast members for the Varsity Artists Program for the  productions are chosen by private audition.  Interested candidates may come by North Cobb Christian School between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and pick up an application packet, which includes the detailed requirements for preparing to audition in each of the six majors listed above.  You may also contact Joy Motter at 770-975-0252, EXT. 112 and request that an audition packet be mailed to your home.

Monday & Thursday classes will meet from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday classes will meet from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

North Atlanta School of the Arts enjoys an educational partnership with North Cobb Christian School.  For this reason, all classes will be held on the North Cobb Christian School campus or at the nearby Praise Him With Dance Studio. . . .an affiliated studio partner of North Atlanta School of the Arts.

Total cost for the 2005-2006 production season is $800.00.

Detailed class offerings and other information will be provided once a student is accepted into the program.

Adventures in Art: 6 - 12 Years old:

Students will explore many different mediums and have a whole lot of FUN in the process. Everyone will work at their own pace and emulate styles of many different artists including, Picasso, Matisse, Pollock, Frieda Kahlo and others. Students will complete over 10 original projects in painting, collage, cut paper, sculpture, photography and more, leading up to a special Gallery event, at the end of the session.

Playwright's Theater: 7 - 13 Years old:

Students will explore Acting, Voice, and Movement while collaborating on an original script. Students will focus on ensemble building scene work, character building, and will perform their original play for a public audience on the final week of class.

….Offers homeschool courses in the visual arts, ballroom dance and theatrical acting. We are located in Sandy Springs, Georgia and our program is geared to grades 7-12. Our main focus is the person – through great teachers we wind up with greater students.

YAE is both professional and nurturing, and we exclude no one -- yet we are able to create artistically explosive and educationally significant original works which we take to schools throughout the Atlanta area. As an “ensemble” our goal is to create an environment which encourages students to be supportive of each other, responsible for themselves and enterprising in their craft.

                                         and absolutely fantastic teen-oriented art instructor.

….. Be part of the shows  -- we create original shows twice a year which we perform in public venues and take to private and public schools. All of our shows are educationally oriented and provide an incredible growing experience for those involved.

GRACE NOTES HOMESCHOOL CONSERVATORY  Joyful Noise Homeschool Band in Cobb County is thrilled to announce launch of our former satellite program, Joyful Noise Homeschool Band Northeast (JNNE) into independence!  JNNE is becoming an independent program called Grace Notes Homeschool Conservatory. Currently this Gwinnett County Band has Beginner and Intermediate Concert Bands, Recorder and Chorus classes, and fields the GA FORCE Marching Band.  New and exciting news for next year includes the addition of an Advanced Concert Band class as well as Beginner and Intermediate String Orchestra Classes.  Please register early as classes will be closed as they fill.  We are equally thrilled to announce Lachlan McBane as the director for the new Grace Notes Homeschool Conservatory Orchestra.  He joins our excellent staff of current directors, with Mr. George Uterhardt teaching our Beginning and Intermediate / Advanced Concert Bands, Ms. Amy Wilson teaching our Recorder and Chorus classes, and Mr. Todd Menefee directing the GA FORCE Marching Band.   Registration for 2009-2010 at Grace Notes Homeschool Conservatory is open NOW from March 1 through September 14, with registration due by August 1 (a late fee will be assessed after that date).  Classes meet Mondays at Lilburn First Baptist Church www.firstbaptist.net about 5 miles outside the Perimeter on Lawrenceville Hwy.  A registration fee of $60 per student reserves your place, and annual tuitions range from $50 for Recorder classes to $120 for Concert Bands, Strings, and Marching Band classes.  Individual class times for the 2009-10 season will be finalized soon, and rehearsals are scheduled to begin Monday, August 31.  Watch the website for more details.   Congratulations to Grace Notes Homeschool Conservatory as they launch on May 5th!  May they bless the homeschool community with the ability to make beautiful music!  For more information, please contact Christi Babaz at cmbabez@gmail.net (678-643-8067).
