Masterworks Foundation Presents

The 5th Annual Masterpiece Conference”

"Achieving Excellence Through Education and Encouragement in the Arts" is our goal as The

Masterpiece Conference is held this year on February 25th, at the First Baptist Church of Duluth.

Competitions-

In order to raise the level of performance and achievement in the arts, we believe that competition

is an important element, thus encouraging students to strive for excellence. This year, students

will have many opportunities to participate in competitions in music, video/film, dance, writing,

drama, and art. Students will be judged and ranked according to the ratings which they have

received in competition.

Concerts- Fabio Parrini, chair of the piano faculty at North Greenville College,

at 1:00 p.m. you will not want to miss this event!

Student Workshops-

We are pleased to offer workshops in:

Art- From Silk Painting and Basket Weaving for teens to a Beginners Art

Class for elementary students, just to mention a few!

Music- This year we are pleased to announce a Music Theatre Workshop

for teens, as well as, Elementary Festival Choir, Teen Festival Choir,

a Folk Songs, Dances and Games workshop, and a workshop

to "Learn to Read Music the Fun Way!"

Writing- A 3 hour Story Writing Workshop for teens, as well as, a shorter

Story Writing Workshop for the elementary students.

Drama- With an Acting for Film and Television workshop, a one hour Film Workshop,

Musical Theater, Set Design, Doing a One Person Show, and

new this year, Prep for a College Drama Program, students

will have a hard time choosing between these great workshops!

K-1 Workshops-

The K-1 students will take a class in art, music, drama, and history, all within the Baroque time

period; immersing your student in the elaborate grandeur of the 17th century. They will

participate in the Elementary Winner's Showcase at the end of their memorable day!

Adult Workshops-

Winners Showcase-

This exciting event is the presentation of the highest achievement winners of each category as

determined by the competitions throughout the day, including the reading of the writing

competition winners, and a viewing of the film competition winners. In addition, the Festival Choir

will perform the numbers that they have learned during the day. Winners of the art competition will

receive their awards in this showcase, and their winning works will be shown via projected digital

photographs.

Vendor Hall-
