Reptile and Amphibian Day

December 4, 2004

Come out and see one of Gwinnett’s best-kept secrets! The Lanier Museum will be hosting its Reptile and Amphibian Day in conjunction with the grand opening of a new reptile display. Come out and visit some of Georgia’s endangered reptiles including the gopher tortoise and eastern indigo snake. While you’re there you can enjoy the many activities planned for that day.

The Lanier Museum houses one of the largest collections of native reptiles and amphibians found in the state. Each exhibit shows the animals in a natural setting.

Exhibitors and speakers will include the Georgia Herpetological Society, Southeastern Hot Herp Society and many more. There will be live animal programs including reptiles of Georgia, Venomous Snake ID, and Basic Herp Care Classes!
