Third Congressional District annual Congressional Art Competition

It’s that time of the year again. I am pleased to announce that the Third Congressional District will be participating in the annual Congressional Art Competition. We have not received the 2012 information or the guidelines yet but I wanted to touch base with everyone.

Remember that the first place winner will received a scholarship and they will have their work displayed in the corridor of the United States Capitol and be invited to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony in Washington D.C. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will be invited to hang their art work in the District Office if they so desire.

We request that the participating students be a resident of the Third Congressional District.

Important Dates:

3/2/12 - School Entry Forms Due

3/30/12 – Student Entry Forms (will send when I receive them)

4/10/12 – Art Work Due in our Newnan District Office by 5:00 p.m.

4/21/12 – Congressional Art Competition

I have also copied Amber Corley on this email. She will be helping me out this year with the Art Competition. Thank you everyone and I look forward to everyone’s participation. Please note that once the deadline for the school entry forms is past, only the participating schools will be receiving any emails from me regarding the 2012 Congressional Art Competition. That deadline again is March 2, 2012.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, Avery B. Raptis Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (GA-03) 770-683-2033 (Office) 770-683-2042 (Fax)
