Scott’s Bio:

Scott Appleton was raised by Christian parents in Connecticut. They chose to homeschool him for religious reasons and did so right through high school. His father inspired him with a love of science and taught him practical skills, while his mother supervised his academics and passed on her love of reading. He graduated at 17 and traveled to Thailand as a student missionary for three months where he came up with the idea to write a fantasy story. Upon returning to the states he developed the story into seven novels worth of material. He successfully interested a publisher in his first novel but was ultimately turned down in 2008. Having had multiple short stories published in magazines, and having edited for a magazine for two years, he made the decision to use his connections and start a professional publishing company of his own. In 2009 he established Flaming Pen Press and in the last ten months has held events for his first novel Swords of the Six in over a dozen states and has sold over 2,500-copies. His second novel, a sequel to Swords of the Six, will release Fall 2010/Spring 2011. He owns www.FlamingPenPress.com and www.theSwordoftheDragon.com and manages a blog at www.flamingpen.blogspot.com
