OAK HILL AND THE MARTHA BERRY MUSEUM TO OFFER

OPEN HOUSE FOR HOME SCHOOL GROUPS

 

ROME, Ga. Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum will offer an open house for home school groups from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. Guests for the open house will enjoy complimentary admission and refreshments. Contact Patrice Shannon at 706-368-6775 for more details.

The open house will feature tours of The Martha Berry Museum, the Oak Hill home, gardens and outbuildings. Home school groups will have the opportunity to learn about Oak Hill Home School Days, a program designed to enrich educational opportunities for home school students and their families through special exhibition tours, arts, crafts and activities. Home School Days will take place on the second Thursday of each month beginning Sept. 10.

Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum is a popular attraction and the former home of Berry College founder Martha Berry (1865-1942). It is located at the intersection of Georgia Loop 1 and U.S. Highway 27 in Rome, Ga. More information is available via the Web at www.berry.edu/oakhill.
