Seminar for Parents and Their Teens

∑ Choosing Curriculum: Whatís available and what works

∑ Whatís Really Required? How many sciences? How many maths?

∑ Preparing Transcripts: Credits, grade point averages, portfolios

∑ Preparing for the future: College, military, tech schools, life

∑ College Road: Admission essays, scholarships, HOPE

The Speaker:

Ruth Martin is the mother of three and has been home schooling since 1983. All of her children have home schooled through high school and gone on to college on academic scholarships. Her oldest has finished law school and is presently in seminary. Her second is also in seminary. The youngest is a junior at Georgia State University. Ruth has a Masterís degree in Learning Disabilities and spent many years in public and private schools teaching and testing children with learning disabilities. She is an educational consultant in private practice working with students of all ages and learning abilities. She writes and speaks for the Georgia Home Education Association and serves on its Board of Directors.
