Mark Hamby

Keynote Speaker:

MARK HAMBY, Lamplighter Ministries

Author, speaker, and Bible teacher, Mark is the founder of Lamplighter Ministries. Through the genre of storytelling and the life-changing power of God’s Word, Mark demonstrates through his teaching that there is a God in whom nothing is impossible.

In 1994 he published the first book in the Lamplighter Family Collection of rare books which gave birth to Lamplighter Publishing. In 2009 Lamplighter Theatre was birthed which is now heard by millions of listeners in over 25 countries. In 2011 Mark followed God’s call to bring to fruition a 25-year-old dream—the Lamplighter Guild for Creative Disciplines.

In Mark’s words, the mission of the Guild is to inspire a renaissance of excellence that leads one to know and enjoy God intimately and creatively make Him known attractively. Though the “lyfe is so short and the craft so long to learne,” Mark believes that those who are diligent in their work will stand before kings (Pro 22:29).

Jonathan Brush

Featured Speaker and Teen Track Speaker:

JONATHAN BRUSH, Family Adventure Company & CollegePlus

Jonathan Brush grew up in a family that both accidentally and purposefully embraced adventure. His parents were some of the early pioneers in the modern homeschooling movement, which he says “effectively ruined my chances of being satisfied with any kind of ‘normal’ life.” He was the first homeschooled student admitted to Bridgewater College, which he says worked out splendidly in many different ways, with the most splendid part being that the second homeschool student Bridgewater admitted was so beautiful and intelligent that he did the only logical thing and married her as soon as they graduated.

After graduation, Jonathan worked for almost eleven years in higher education admissions, including nine years as a Director of Admissions for a private, liberal arts college. Today he is a National Admissions Director for CollegePlus. He oversees the student admissions in the eastern region while having a great time inspiring homeschool families through presenting at student events, co-ops and conventions.

Most importantly, by the grace of God, Jonathan is a Kingdom builder for Christ, a husband of fourteen years to his wife, a father of six, and a serving member of his local church. He and his family live in the Shenandoah Valley, where they try their best to live the adventures they are in, and properly train for the ones that will come.
