Q: How much does the convention cost?
A: Online Pre-registration prices are: Full Conference, Individual–$60; Full Conference, Family–$70. GHEA Members will receive a $10 discount for any Full Conference registration (Individual or Family). Shopping Only, Individual–$20; Shopping Only, Family–$ 25. These are online Pre-registration prices good through May 25, 2014, at which time online registration will close. You may still register on-site for an additional $5. There are additional fees for the Teen Track and for the Little Patriots Children’s Program. Please visit the Registration page for more information. Registration includes a “Virtual Gift Basket” full of resources and coupons.

Q: Are there family discounts?
A: There is a $70* Pre-registration Full Conference Family Plan and a $25 Pre-registration Shopping Only Family Plan (includes a traditionally married couple and children ages 5–19 residing at home, and non-homeschooling grandparents). *If you are a GHEA member, you will receive a $10 discount for the Full Conference Family Plan.

Q: What if we only want to attend one day?
A: You are welcome to attend as much or as little of the conference as you like, but the cost is one price and covers the entire weekend.

Q: What if I only want to attend the Exhibit Hall and Used Book Sale or the Educational Sessions?

Q: What does my registration fee cover?
A: Full Conference includes the keynote session, special speakers, and all workshops, as well as the Exhibit Hall and Used Book Sale. Shopping Only includes Exhibit Hall and Used Book Sale.

Q: What is the parking fee?
A: There is no parking fee at the Gwinnett Center.

Q: If I am coming in from out of town, where should I stay?
A: See the Travel page for a listing of hotels close to the Gwinnett Center.

Q: What is there for my kids to do?
A: The Shopping Only Family Plan allows children to shop with you or participate in the games area of the Exhibit Hall and Used Book Sale. The Full Conference Family Plan includes all adult benefits (children must be with you at all times).

Q: How do I register my son or daughter for graduation?

Q: How do I sign my kids up for the Teen Track and Children’s Program?
A: You must be registered for the Full Conference Family Plan in order for teens or children to participate in these programs. You may sign your kids up for these programs when you register for the Full Conference Family Plan (visit our Registration page).

Q: What is the Teen Track?
A: Your teens can enjoy their own two-day program. GHEA understands the unique needs of kids ages 13–19, and so we have developed a strong track especially for these ages. Parents who want to make the Conference a real family growth experience can enroll their teens in the Teen Track for just an additional $50 to your Full Conference Family Plan option. This year’s Teen Track will feature Mike Snavely (Nature of Creation) and Jonathan Brush (Family Adventure Company). Q: What are the benefits of GHEA Membership?

Q: Are there special tracks for families that are just considering home schooling?
A: GHEA offers special sessions beginning at 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014. If you are just beginning, you don’t want to miss Dr. Ruth Martin as she walks you through how to get started, choose curriculum, know the law, how to create a transcript, and much more. This Thursday only session is included in the full conference price. However, if you wish to attend Thursday only, there will be a small charge of $5.00 per person (children age 15 and under are free). The Exhibit Hall is not open on Thursday. If you decide to upgrade to a full conference registration on-site, we will apply the $5.00 Thursday cost to the upgrade.

Q: What is your conference refund policy?
A: A refund may be requested via mail to GHEA, 258 Sandy Lake Circle, Fayetteville, GA 30214. You must include your online receipt, and it must be postmarked prior to the first day of the conference (Thursday, June 5, 2014). A refund minus a $5.00 processing fee will be issued. It will also be necessary to charge a $10 materials fee for a Little Patriots Children’s Program cancellation.
